On 24 September, the beach and the steep residential district that rises above it celebrate Fornillo’s long fishing traditions with the ‘Festa del Pesce’ fish and seafood festival, which this year celebrates its 25th edition. Inaugurated by a procession led by a traditional jester known as O’ pazzariello, the Festa is basically a long, laid-back end-of summer beach party. Those who don’t feel up to the short walk can take one of the free shuttle boats than will run all evening between Spiaggia Grande, Positano’s main beach, and Fornillo.
In honour of the upcoming Festa, we are proud to present a Fornillo gallery shot by Roberto Salomone, a talented Naples-based photojournalist and valued friend of the Sirenuse Journal.
